Excuse the pun, but it is time for
us to think outside the box when it
comes to enhancing customer service,
generating new business and increasing
sales. Hampers and gift baskets,
wrapped and ready for busy customers
to buy, provide additional revenue and
the opportunity to spring clean stock!
To promote this service and see which
price points are most popular, display
a selection with a sign or oversized gift
tag naming the event. This can act as
a prompt or useful reminder and result
in a lucrative impulse purchase!
You don't have to limit yourself to obvious occasions. My first hamper is a 'Thank You'
gift and I've conveyed the message in chocolate! Using a contemporary container that
can be put to good use afterwards, plus a mixture of two shades of crinkle cut, I've tried
to create a picture of relaxation with the recipient enjoying tea and biscuits as they peruse
a book about gardening. A gentle waft of lavender comes from the beautiful herb cushion.
All of these items may be found in a garden centre gift shop while a deli could replace the
book and cushion with a cookery book and kitchen utensil. The possibilities are endless!
Notes: I used crumpled
newspaper beneath shred
to reduce amount of crinkle
cut required. Cost of heat
gun not included.
Notes: Book & mug
were purchased.
