A 'welcome' basket in the bedroom
is always much appreciated by weary
wedding guests whether it is a basic fluted
card tray filled with water, snacks and fresh
fruit or a bigger budget wicker or wooden
hamper with wine and nibbles. If guests have
travelled quite a way it is helpful to include a
map of the area or a restaurant, bar or
shopping guide. In fact both a bar and
shopping guide would keep everyone happy!
If you don't stock such items you could
perhaps get them from a local retailer who,
in turn, may promote your hampers in their shop.
This is also the ideal opportunity to offer your customers mementos of their marriage
printed with bespoke messages. I've chosen heart shaped chocolate lollipops which
look particularly good when tied into the decoration. I've kept packaging costs to a
minimum by using a fluted card tray and packed the base of the hamper with recycled
bubble wrap so that I need very little cream crinkle cut with a hint of iridescent shred.
A small basket bag shrink wrapped holds everything in place and two-colour raffia adds
an inexpensive but contemporary finishing touch that can be made in moments.

Note: In the base of the
hamper you could use
recycled bubble wrap
or other packing materials
received with deliveries
Note: The wine was purchased
